The extinct race

The presence of beings with a stature beyond compare, with, among other things, a great strength, is easily identifiable in a sea of myths, from the classical one of the great flood.
To begin with, as stated in a written rabbinical the fifth century AD before the Ark's departure, the giant named Og managed to cling to a rope ladder to the boat. It was the last of the giant king of Bashan (a town east of the Jordan River) and he also talks about the Bible.
If you listen to Greek mythology the Titans (this term identified with precision, a race of giants with the look really wild, like the Cyclops and Hecatonchires, are the children of the sky god Uranus, designed with the goddess of the earth Gaia, the mother of universal classical mythology) lived in the caves, and peculiarities in common with the Cyclops, had only one eye. You remember, of course, what I had to take on Ulysses at a certain stage of his wanderings. The ancient chronicles describe them as undisputed rulers of the earth in times past and one day, decided to rebel against the gods and men: we are not certain on the point of contention, this race probably semi-divine became aware of being able to usurp power from the gods.
For this reason the gods resolved to punish this presumptuous arrogance from here, among sentenced to punishments, the flood of old memories.
The Titans defeated, were replaced by the Giants, born from the blood gushing from a wound of Uranus, castrated by his son Cronus, the youngest among them. Cronus, to become a great king, devoured his children by his sister Rhea, but thanks to a trick, Zeus was saved and became, over time, to the rank dell'indegno father.
The Giants (the word derives from the Sanskrit word g'ant-u which means "animal") for all we know, sought in every way, unsuccessfully, to avenge their predecessors: for this is described, also in a perennial revolt against the gods.
